Let's begin with a real review. November 2024, I signed a contract with Bryant to complete my downstairs bathroom and remodel the upstairs bathroom. I paid him the full estimate on the date of the signing. I asked when he would be able to start, he stated he was very busy and booked until mid-December. I said okay cool just keep in touch and let me know when you can start. Mid- December came and went no word, I reached out multiple times with no response. He finally reached out AFTER I mentioned to his family, I hadn’t heard anything and felt he was ignoring me. He emailed me stating he could start the week of Christmas, AFTER Christmas day. Okay no problem. He showed up Friday December 27th to start the downstairs. He was contracted to install no flooring (and level the floor), install a pedestal sink and baseboard. As I already repainted the bathroom. There were some issues with the plumbing (which he fixed no problem). Once the project was completed on January 2nd, he sent me pictures (As I work out of town), it looked nice in the pictures. Once I arrived January 3rd I noticed, he completely dug up the wall behind the sink, there were saw marks in the wall where the old vanity was removed. He did not caulk around the toilet or sink areas, he put damaged scrapped up baseboard on and left the pencil marks on the white baseboards. When he installed the floor, he used some type of glue which must have gotten on his shoes he then got it all over the new floor and I am unable to get it off. I noticed a week later that the edges of the floor had started to come apart.
Then our major shower repair started a week later. He brought in help for this project. They started demoing the bathroom and when he took up the floor, he found mold (which was suspected) Therefore he had to remove the subfloor and sink. He fixed the plumbing AGAIN (old house has bad plumbing) we then found quickly that we did not have a standard size tub we had to special order a specific size and tile for the shower. (Which I did, as well as a new vanity since the old one had mold) while he had removed the subfloor both of our cats had gotten into it (which we were not aware of, he sealed the floor. We were able to rescue 1 cat as he was meowing after we had to remove the flooring again with the help of our neighbor. Then 5 days later the other cat was heard on the wall. I had to remove the ceiling beneath the bathroom, and we were able to remove the cat. In the meantime, because of all this happening Bryant continued to tell us he would arrive at our house between 8 am and 9 am, which never happened. He would arrive between 1030 am and 1130 am. Then he would take a break for lunch at noon and sometimes return an hour or more later. Then there was a whole week he could not show due to kid trouble. We spent thousands on hotels due to this renovation and his lack of time management. He started bringing a new employee and the employee's girlfriend. I discovered that halfway through this project my stairs in my house had huge chunks of wood missing from them, holes in my walls in my hallways, and 10-12 saw marks and razor cuts in my kitchen floor. I also discovered that they were mixing the grout in my house which splattered all over my laundry room, plants, and walls. Bryant did repair the steps and the hole in the wall; however my kitchen floor is still all cut up. His reasoning for this was his employees knew better than to cut on the floor and he was unsure why they thought this was okay. Then to repair the ceilings they did not put plastic up in the house or cover anything, so plaster was everywhere throughout the house, including in my stove and furnace returns. I ended up covering everything in plastic 1 day later when I returned home and found a mess. He and his employees were cleaning out their grout buckets in my kitchen sink therefore my drains were messed up. He would bring his girlfriend's kid (12 years old or so) with him to work and constantly take personal phone calls and go outside to smoke or go to his moms who is my neighbor. Finally, nearing the end of the project, 6 weeks later he stated he did all the caulking and all he had left to do was install the sink lines and replace a shut off valve for the sink since it was leaking. On 2/9/25 while I was in the bathroom I noticed the grout in the new flooring was cracking and tiles were moving, the caulking was not done in the shower correctly and there were huge gaps between the tile and shower base, I notice the drain was not centered and there was a gap about ½ inch between the drain and the shower base. Then once I repaired all of this, I noticed a slice in my shower base. I am assuming it was caused by him or one of his employees attempting to remove the plastic. (I repair this as well) The next day I attempted to take a shower; I had NO water pressure and NO hot water.
