    Paul Buck was not what we expected.!he didn’t provide proper oversight of his crew and subcontractors this leading to many mistakes and unnecessary repairs during our remodel project. We had to take him to hours because of the defects and did get a settlement due to his negligence and apathy. He seemed like a nice guy at the start but didn’t take responsibility for his actions leading to our problems with him and his company.

    The client’s micromanaging led to a dissolution of the relationship and our fear of entering their home. The complaints against us were captious, hypercritical, and best of all, inconsistent. The property passed all Harford County inspections, had three site visits by the architect, one unnecessary visit by an engineer, and multiple bank inspections, including the final bank inspection which was required in order for the bank to release the last remaining funds to us (which it did). The entire job cost over $170,000, for which we were paid in full. Some time after, the customer filed a complaint against us with the MHIC Guaranty Fund in the amount of $27,337.00 (note that the guaranty fund only awards a maximum amount of $20,000.00). This matter was handled by the Office of Administrative Hearings. In the end, the customer was awarded $4,766.00 for work left unfinished due to our apprehension of entering their home any further. We believe this was fair, and the matter has been settled. We would like to note that Buck Construction Inc. has been in business since 2006 with zero complaints against our MHIC license until this case.
