They came to see and give us a quote on our project and then never contacted us with their promised quote. They left us with the understanding that this was just too small of a project and that we, as in my almost 70 year old husband and his brother, would just have to be up on the roof doing the job that they were not going to be bothered with. They could at least have called us and told us no.
Response from Build It Boys Construction, LLC December 5, 2019Ann, When we met we explained that the project was too small and would be best served that you contact a handyman. We further illuminated that we could for sure do the work but your budget was not in line with going with a full general contractor, hence the reason we recommended a handyman. It was to save you money, we do this often to maintain transparency with customers. There was no expectation for us to send a quote, we had spoken in person and we stated that it wasn't something we could do profitably. This is consistent issue we run into with Buildzoom, they often connect us with clients that are not a good fit. And, in this case, we get the bad review for it. Apologies that there was confusion. -

The crew at Build It Boys were nothing short of amazing. They did a fantastic job of our bathroom remodel and even gave us some pointers on layout and decoration. They gave us some options of things we could do ourselves. We chose to tackle the demolition (which we will never do again... we will just leave it to the pros next time). This saved us some money but I think we just slowed the guys down. Overall, we are very happy with the outcome and especially happy that they helped us with our insurance company. We had some damage we wanted repaired because we had a water leak recently and Progressive wasn't going to give us enough to fix everything. Robert gave us some advice on what to send over and had us get other estimates to prove the depth of the work. In the end, the insurance company gave us what we needed and we got out bathroom back without costing us a dime. These guys will be our contractors for a long time to come.

Gave me the straight dope, no bull. They told me what needed to be done to complete the fence we wanted YET they were willing to haggle a bit on the price. I wanted quality and I am willing to pay for it but I like it when I can be worked with too.

We used Thumbtack to find a contractor and it was a nightmare. We couldn't find anyone to build us a custom deck like WE wanted. We kept getting told it couldn't be done and that the deck was too difficult to build and stay within our budget. When we found Build It Boys that all changed. Right away the guys listened to what we wanted and started thinking about how they could make it work. We simply wanted a deck that could hold our hot tub and wrap around the end of our property a bit so we could see the view of the mountains. When the boys were finished we were amazed. The picture doesn't do it justice. We are very happy with the results and we are telling all our friends about these guys.
