Sean Reimer
Owner
Building Solutionz, Inc., Sean Reimer, was sub-contracted by the general contractor who built my new home to do the EFIS / stucco on, not even half, the exterior area of a single family ranch home. The fall and early winter of 2015 was exceptionally good/ warm weather. Perfect for exterior work, which all other contractors did. They, however, dropped materials off in front of the home in mid-October 2015, left sitting for over a month blown around neighborhood by wind at times. Didn’t begin work until the end of November. And more than two months after delivering material , by the end of December, he was not even halfway done with the project. He did not finish the job until late January, weeks after we had already moved in the home! The exceptionally warm and unseasonably good weather should have meant the project would be done in a reasonable amount of time (weeks? – not months). And the first crew he had on the job wasn’t even following the correct design of the EFIS, missing features (had to be corrected and was). After numerous complaints to the general contractor and a threat to sue Building Solutionz for holding up other contractor’s completion of the home before we were to move in, Reimer finally put a second crew on the job. By comparison, a huge two story home in a nearby neighborhood, built by another builder, which is completely EFIS on all four sides of the exterior with architectural features, was tented, and the two stories was completed by their sub-contractor in 3 weeks during the same time – November/December 2015. Since mine was completed, it took them 7 months to return and patch damaged spots on the garage. The patch they used was white on the colored/painted EFIS. The patch spots are visible, but they promised to return in the next “few days” with the paint color to go over the patch spots. That was July 2016, it’s now the end of the year (December 2016) and have not seen them again. This is what to expect from Building Solutionz. The finished product looks fine, just a frustrating lack of diligence in getting it done.
