BEWARE!!! I don’t even know where to start…at first, they were prompt and responsiveness— that was until they had our insurance checks, of course. Then, excuse after excuse why things weren’t ordered and they were delayed. Ongoing lack of communication and responsiveness is a huge concern. When we started making calls to supervisors, finally they got out to the house. Shouldn’t have gotten our hopes up…because they didn’t actually complete the job they were hired to do. They “forgot” to do the ridge vents on our shop. The crew didnt snap any lines for shingles, so shingles rows are not straight. Rakes were so uneven, a kindergartener could cut straighter lines (they came out later to fix, but made it even worse). They damaged a gutter (later replaced with a shorter one that wouldn’t catch water off the roof), plus damaged a log on our log home (and chipped another). Oh! And safety? Forget that. An open utility knife came flying off the roof and hit my child in the leg (he was at least 12 feet away). Weeks later, when gutter guy came he left all the gutter debris including nails and shingle granules all over our deck, yard, and driveway. So clean up and patching tire holes were just icing on the cake to this nightmare. We started this process in early September of 2023.
January : got our invoice. They made a clerical error and we ended up owing $9000 more than originally told (they called this human error). I found a $619 overcharge and another charge for flashing they didn’t even do.
Working with Built Strong was one of the worst experiences ever. Very unethical, poor workmanship, poor communication, no integrity.

Had our shingles replaced due to storm damage last year. Built Strong control inspector Rueegy and his crew were professional and very fast! Arrived at 6am and were gone before 12. The crew worked very fast and efficiently. The cleanup after was spotless! Would recommend them to family and friends.

I would rate Zach Bahr's work ethics and personal characteristics among the best! He had a strong desire to help us with our siding task at hand and was very willing to spend the time and effort it took. Zach's, a restoration consultant, communication skills, his pleasant approach to people more advanced in age than he and his depth of knowledge in the siding field are superb!! We always felt listened to by Zach. Zach Bahr sustained us with attentive care and guidance when others may not have.
We highly recommend Zach Bahr of Built Strong Exteriors, LLC for your restoration needs!!Greg and Sue

I had a lot of issues with Built Strong. Their reviews looked decent on google but after signing on with them it went downhill fast. The estimated times for installation were wrong. The price quoted was inaccurate and the work was very poor. They left open electrical wiring hanging off of the roof. Contractors would leave on break and just throw ladders and equipment onto landscaping that completely destroyed it. And when I tried to discuss these issues with them, I was either ignored or there was a weeklong delay in a response. There are so many better teams out there. I'd stay away from this group.

By Vicki J.May 2, 2020New siding$5,000
Had them out to do a siding job. There was a piece of shake left open to the elements on one side. Cory says this is ok since there's siding behind it (??) and the piece is caulked in place. Some j channel replaced around a bathroom window was extended to far right. They reseated the channel so that it sat at an angle in front of the channel next to it and then proceeded crookedly & at an upward angle till it met the channel at the other side of the window. Way too much caulk was used, totally shoddy. Looked awful. I had ken (manager) out to look at some nails that have been left in the vinyl siding. He called them trim nails then in a very loud, aggressive and rude way went on to tell us that he'd been to the house more than once, the drive was a long one, he had to pay someone to rewrap the entire bathroom window, and finally that if we wanted further work done the cost would be on us. He told us he wanted our reviews deleted, he'd give us one week before he would "have to respond" and that AFTER we did so he would get the lifetime workmanship warranty to us. Very inappropriate and unprofessional. My questions and concerns were not well received and i was made to feel a burden very shortly into the process. That attitude has not been appreciated nor helpful. Cannot recommend.

Had these guys out to replace our siding at our rental house. Tony was our sales rep. He recommended a product that would help with better insulation and it has made a huge difference with heating and comfort. Many compliments on the new look of the home. Great install crew and highly recommend for your next project.

This company is a nightmare to work with, and I’d suggest anyone ignore them if they come knocking.
Had a hail storm in early May..2021. B.S. was in the area giving other quotes, so my husband has them do one for us. In the quote, we had new shingles, new gutters, and replacing 2 skylights( which we had requested they have blinds in them for light/ heat control, but this gets interesting later) which, we were told were CUSTOM ORDERS due to size. We were also warned that they might delay finding the project due to supply chain issues surrounding COVID.. weeks go by, with minimal response to “ any news on those skylights?”. Finally, weeks after that, we opted to go with standard skylights, minus the blinds, and we were still told it was CUSTOM order due to size. October rolls around and finally, they are able to start.. and the skylight in the dining room DOES NOT FIT! The one in the bath was seemingly ok.. the foreperson on the job took off in her truck, went to Home Depot, and arrived 20 minutes later…with a skylight that fit in the dining room ( so much for all that garbage about CUSTOM SIZE). The roof looked like a kindergartner placed the shingles,( lifting and irregular spacing) and the gutters actually looked ok..the bathroom skylight had Sheetrock that was damaged on the inside in multiple places.. so I suspect it wasn’t installed properly and potentially not the correct size ( you would think they knew how to properly measure, but apparently that’s not a requirement)
They sent a contractor out to repair the bathroom sky light about 6 months later ( after numerous contacts of complaint) , but he actually made it look terrible by doing a subpar spackling job, and there are huge paint lines and drops still there today6/2024) and the spackling job is actually pulling away from the repair area..
And, to top it all off, they failed to communicate with our insurance company in a timely manner (18 months) and our insurance company refused to pay them…so they threatened us with collections… which we paid.. noting the cost included those CUSTOM SKYLIGHTS).. which they actually refunded to us.
Not professional, competent or, in my opinion, honest…the staff seemed to have a revolving door as we rarely communicated with the same person repeatedly, so you are definitely better off going elsewhere..
