***WARNING—BULLDOG BUILDERS***
We were looking for a well-qualified, reasponsive, general contractor for a large project on our severally hail damaged home—roof, siding, gutters, along which we are adding two patio doors and several windows at our own expense due to seal damage.

Jason, at first, appeared to respond quickly, showed up promptly and then... we basically never heard from him again. He said he would have his quote to us within a day or two and after a week had gone by I sent a fairly strongly worded email message to him about how disappointed I was that we had not heard from him— no estimate, nor any reason for no estimate, no message not even a phone call. After I messaged him he sent back a fairly terse reply stating he had sent it to us and he would check what happened. The next day I receive a message that his system that he uses for his quotes had some “technical difficulties” and it bounced back into his spam so therefore he didn’t know it wasn’t sent. He said he was working with the systems technical advisor and once he got it fixed he would re-send the quote. My husband smelled something fishy and basically said that he would rather not deal with him and I sent him a response that we had decided not to pursue Bulldog Builders.

But after a day or so I sent him back an email and I apologized to him!!! I explained that I had gotten some negative health news the day I sent him the email deciding to not go with him and that may have skewed our thinking and so we had reconsidered our decision and kindly asked him to resubmit his bid. We have never heard from him again!

What kind of business owner doesn’t have the empathy or understanding to take one bad day on a customer’s part (even after an apology) when his system was at fault to begin with—and not even have the decency to respond in any professional capacity.

When we originally hadn’t heard from him after one week, I had told him I would make sure that I would get on any review board possible to make sure that others knew about the lack of follow-through of Jason from Bulldog Builders. Then he did the half-hearted Mea Culpa text about his “systems problems” What a joke!! Our gut is telling us he discriminates towards “high end homes” and projects.

I’m going to post the name & phone number of the EXCELLENT Contractor we are using if he gives me his approval. His company received four homes for additional business this week after meeting others in our subdivision through us.
