  My husband and I waited years to build our retirement home, and using Brian Burnett and Burnett Building,LLC was the worst experience of our lives. We hired Brian Burnett, LLC at a premium price of cost plus 20% with the belief we were getting a premium build- boy were we wrong! Red flags began showing about 5 months into the build- when we stopped hearing from Brian regarding our build. The build itself was way behind schedule, and we were constantly finding issues with the work and crews he hired. Very poor build beginning with the frame work (crooked walls, etc) all the way to the finished product (I could write a whole page on the trim package and paint job, alone). Our build went 3 months beyond our contractual end date (February 2022), and we had to pay for a rental before we were able to move in. We finally had no choice but to move in, and the house was still not finished (May 2022). Most Concerning: Weeks and months of no contact from Brian Burnett- and then out of the blue we would receive either emails or texts of invoices that were often twice and sometimes three times the amount we had agreed upon. Never any explanations, or correspondence, just an over inflated invoice. The more we questioned, the less we heard from Brian. Once I began investigating invoices, we found we had been build twice for $3600. And I am certain there were more. Our last invoice he sent came in the form of a text- literally a month after we had last heard from him. It was three times the amount he told us to expect, with no explanations or anything written. Horrible experience, and the home we paid to have built is of poor quality. We are devastated our build turned out so bad- we wasted so much money being over charged and now having to fix many things that were poorly completed. Before you hire Brian Burnett, LLC (Burnett Building, LLC, Brian Burnett Realty, @burnettbuildingllc) please save yourself a lot of money and do your research. We have heard from others who have had the same experience, and decided to write to help anyone considering using these services.

  Build our house

  $190,000

  No recommendation!! The whole time we were building we would check on our budget, he always said your fine. When we finished we were $70,000 over with a water problem that still exists even after French drains were installed! Now the fridgedair stove top isn’t working blue flame came out and said it was NEVER CONVERTED TO PROPANE!! That is a reason for all of my pots & pans turn black and that more than likely due to the negligence burned my 2 1/2 yr old stove up

  P.s. our entire ac unit had to be moved to about 3 more feet due to not being up to code where they placed it and interfering with the gas that’s ironic
