Beware of this contractor he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He is a shyster, a theft and a liar, especially if you are a single woman. When I first met him, he introduced himself as an “honest Christen that’s trying to help people”. Because I believed he was an honest Christen, I trusted him to do the work. That was my first mistake. He did the siding on my house, put up a trap door for the crawl space, installed French doors and the front door, when he said it was all done, I asked him for an invoice and receipts for any additional material he said he had to purchase, never received a response.
I came back into town to see the finished work. To my surprise the project was not complete. Siding had fallen off; the front door was not sealed or level and other work that we agreed on was not done.
I reached out to him with no response. I happen to be in LOWE’s and ran into his business partner and asked do you know why Chuck hasn’t responded to me. He said Chuck was in his feelings because something happened in his personal life.
I reached out again via Text message, no response.
A year later I decided because of all the trouble with a lot of different contractors since I started this remodel in 2019 and it is now 2023 and still not done, I just had to put the house on the market and sell it.
When he saw the house was for sale instead of reaching out to me, he went and put a lien on the title for an amount we had never agreed on. Then went to my realtor with an invoice that he wrote that day. I reached out to him again and asked how did you come up with this price and I needed the receipts. He was belligerent and hung up on me. He knew that at the closing he would be paid whatever figure he put on that invoice and the state of Virginia did just that.
