First Mr Butler presented a contract that was fraudulent and that I signed on April 2, 2024. Unbeknownst to me the Idaho state contractor number had been expired since 07/2023 and that number was from a different company called Streamline Construction. Mr Butler claimed to be a stone mason and a custom home builder which he was neither . We had to stop him from his stone work and hire another company from Boise which ended up costing us a great deal more as they had to remove the stone he attempted to install. Mr Butler failed to follow Idaho state code and manufactures installation directions. Mr Butler also installed exterior metal siding called Tuff Rib without following the manufacturer’s install directions or state code and failed to weather seal it. This too will need replacing. Mr Butler installed a new entry door that not only opened in the wrong direction it was too tall and will not open all the way as it hits a beam. Mr Butler wanted to plane down the fiberglass door to make it fit however we stopped him as this would void the warranty on the door. Mr Butler also attempted to match the trim on the door which wasn’t even close to my custom trim. It was rough and patchy as he didn’t condition the wood prior to staining. This too had to be redone by another company.
Mr Butler complained that I would let him repair anything. Well I didn’t because I didn’t want him practicing on my home. Mr Butler said I didn’t let him finish things however he would disappear for days and days without communication. His work schedule was never a full day unlike all the professionals that I replaced him with.
Mr Butler constantly put the blame on anyone but himself.
Mr Butler threaten to put a lean on my house for breach of contract but since the contract was fraudulent he won’t be able to.
Lastly I placed his unmatched door trim against the entry coat closet. Mr Butler was standing behind me getting ready to leave. I backed up into the door not knowing his had was in the door and he pinched his hand. He went into a very dramatic act and left saying he was going to call the police. Mr Butler did call the police and filed an assault charge against me.
Consumer please be aware of this business and Mr Bulter.
