I think that we all dread the inevitable replacement of fencing; a major expenditure that is almost always accompanied by complications and some degree of angst. All in all, this was the most satisfying experience that I've had, with the fewest complications and follow-up work.
The estimating was simple. Others tried to 'hide' potential clean-up, sprinkler damage, jackhammer, and other fees in the bid; Barry the owner didn't. This was a 'good old days' type of arrangement where you simply believe it is their job to do careful and complete work.
As for the fencing and installation, it was great. Good quality materials, and the guys included little touches that others don't or charge extra for (like caps on the top of the wood posts). These guys (at least the crew I had) really knew their stuff; and made sure everything was done right. They were also sure to put everything back as it was (attachments to fixtures, etc.). And, everything was cleaned-up afterward.
I can't say that it's ever pleasant to spend money just to replace something, but this was about as good as it gets...
BV provided low upfront prices with no surprises. They did a good job communicating timing and length of project and they delivered.
The fence looks great - I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
