By Allan R.August 27, 2023Replace existing septic
Very disappointed in the job . Not at all what I was expecting. The person in charge was Mat who told me all of the right things until he got the check for $40,000.00 yes forty thousand dollars. I replaced a septic at my commercial property and Bynum did not clean the mud from all of the rain leaving my asphalt covered in mud. The mud washed over to the car lot beside my property and Mat from Bynum told me that wasn’t their problem. I would not recommend Bynum for any job.

The Septic division of the company did a great job on a new septic tank & drainfield ( on a steep and challenging sloped backyard hill. Professional & courteous. Great guys , excellent work.

By Teresa D.June 30, 2021$2,000
The worst service. The staff is very unprofessional and argumentative. I had an install for a water heater and they quoted me three prices one on the phone, one at the house, and at the end a different price. They wanted to overcharge me for a Home Depot water heater because they said the water heater I chose would not fit in my attic so they brought a different one. When they left I ask for a receipt the gut kept talking about he gave it to me in a email which was not true. Afterwards, I found several discrepancies in the bill. They overcharged me for the water heater when I checked the serial number and matched it to the one online. They charge me for a pan for almost a 100 dollars which are like 12 dollars online. I actually didn’t need a new pan but he said he had to cut it to replace the new water heater than I see it come down intact. So they can up charge me. He constantly wanted me to hire him and charge me for different things around the house instead of focusing on the actual job. I wanted to go talk to the staff about it but they constantly kept trying to hang up on me. The worst experience. Finally Home Depot just compensated for the negligence.

By Chris B.December 24, 2019instal 3 toilets$900
The lady (Reana) I spoke to on the phone was nasty.
She tried to make us pay for the haul away of the toilet twice. When I refused to pay twice, the plumber left the old toilet in our yard. Home Depot sent someone to pick up the old toilet. This company is under contract with Home Depot. Home Depot should drop this company as a contractor.

On Saturday, September 23, 2023, I purchased the Kohler Elmbrook Revolution 360 Complete
Solution 2-piece 1.28 GPF Single Flush Elongated Toilet in white (seat included) to be installed.
Salesperson DM99CM stated someone would reach out to me Monday, September 25
regarding setting up a day/time for installation.
On Monday, September 25 someone from Home Depot contacted me and we confirmed Friday, September 29 between 9:00-12:00pm. Bynum & Sons Plumbing arrived at my house Friday,
September 29 around 10:45am and departed at 12pm. Before Bynum departed
we did a test of the commode; it flushed fine with no issues.
About twenty minutes after Bynum departed, I walked downstairs, as I was going down
I noticed the carpet was wet. Once I got to the last staircase, I noticed the hardwood floor
at the front entrance and living room walkway was extremely wet. I immediately ran
upstairs to the bathroom and noticed water coming from the wall behind the commode. I turned
off the water to the commode and contacted Home Depot. I spoke with Marie, she
advised me to contact Bynum Plumbing. I called Bynum to let them know there was a
severe water leak, someone needed to get back to my house ASAP.
By that time the water had already flooded the staircase walls and carpet,
hardwood floor, living room carpet, garage walls and ceiling. Not to mention
the holes in staircase wall and garage wall/ceiling (see attached pictures).
It took several hours before Bynum arrived back to my home, which was
around 7:45pm (I called 2:30pm). Once Bynum arrived he observed the leak,
mentioned I would have to go without water overnight.
All the water in my home turned off. I knew the importance of having water
in my home but took it for granted, what an ordeal.
Saturday morning Bynum arrived at my house around 10:30am. He worked until around
12:15’s to repair the water leak. Water was once again flowing in my home.
Sunday, October 1, the commode worked fine early morning, I used it late afternoon,
it would not flush.
Will it be possible to get someone to my home ASAP to check the water
damages as I “do not” want mold to set in the walls, ceiling and carpet?
