I received 3 bids for my landscaping project. 2 were for $1000. And Richard’s was for $1500. I hired him because he seemed more professional. When the job was done I received the bill for $3300. The contract did say it could be more or less, so he can bill what he feels like and I am obliged to pay. The pavers were done well, but the edging was installed incorrectly. I was so disgusted that I fixed it myself. He is either incompetent or dishonest to give a bid so low and then more than double it. Do not hire unless you have endless money.
