By David B.November 11, 2021Gut and Redo our master bathroom$13,000
C & K just finished up our master bathroom. My only issue with it is it is so beautiful, I hesitate to use it and mess it up.
I can't say enough about Chris and Kim's work. They are true professionals. They answered all my questions, explained where we were in the process as we progressed and Chris took the time to explain what he was doing to make sure we did not have our existing problems going forward.
We have already had them out for an estimate on our basement.
If you are thinking of using C & K, don't think twice, just do it, you will be so glad you did, just like us!

By Philip V.November 27, 2020Front Entry Door$3,100
Fraudelent contractor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. C&K Home Remodeling was contracted to replace our Front Entry door and paid $3100 in June 2018. This was delayed due to various reasons such as the custom door being damaged during transit, the contractor being injured and unable to work for few months. To this date, he has stopped by a few times to do some pre-requisite prep work such as sealing a few windows, installing a PVC panel above the door etc. They have not installed the door to date and never refunded the money. Never use this company

Hired this contractor to do extensive work throughout newly purchased home. Brags a endlessly about being a perfectionist- nothing was near perfect. All four drawers in the built-ins that he did needed to be repaired (used cheap plastic guides that broke as soon as they were used), was supposed to prime the one in the living room before painting (or add a second coat)- didn't, knots bleeding through, router gouge showed up in the cheap plexiglass he used in one of the built in doors when the light hit it at an angle; walk-in shower- bent over to pick up soap and saw an area where the tile work was not completed under the sill; peel&stick floor tiles in the mudroom had gaps between the tiles and were not scribed around the door frame (I fixed that); was supposed to put "biscuits" under the door trim where it meets the floor (had carpet removed) did one side of some doors & not the other, used different material on one side from the other on the ones he did do both; there's more, but...
the reason we didn't have him back to correct the problems (supposed 1 year "warranty" on his work) was that we couldn't stand to listen to anymore bragging and if you do that much so poorly the first time- why would we expect any better the second?

Master bath completely gutted. Shower lower shelf on left completely split. Grout on right corner of shower came out. Cabinet drawer does not go all the way in because it bumps up against a water outlet. Floor grout coming out all over, tiles coming up with pointy edges, transitional piece completely cracked and pulled away from connection. Second bathroom floor grout coming out all over, tiles loose and pointy, transitional piece apart. Never fix the exhaust fan in master bath, even after I purchased a new one, just said it wouldn't fit. For some reason there's drafts coming in there now.
Over the past year or more I have been texting and sending emails to this company with responses of they will get back to me with a date. Once I was told they would be out on a specific day and I was called and said that the person was sick and would come another day, no one ever came nor did I get a call; that was the last contact with this company. So I still have a mess of a few thousand dollars worth of repairs. I told them I would call in another contractor who would give me an estimate to fix all of this and they could just cut me a check. Haven't heard anything at all from them.
We saved money in order to completely redo these bathrooms and they actually were in better shape before only outdated. Not sure what I can do at this point, if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
