I do not recall how I found C & L Group to do a landscaping job for us a few years ago. If you look to locate this company now, it’s nearly impossible, but at the time we contracted with Chris Heibel, the company had decent reviews. The company was to install stone flowerbed borders and a stepping stone walkway for us, which they did, and it looked very nice when finished. However, within 3 months, the mortar was cracking and several stones had shifted. I contacted Mr. Heibel, explained the issues, and he repaired them. About six months later, the same problems, but a bit worse. I contacted him again with no response. After a firm email, he did respond, and sent someone again to make repairs. The problem is, he knew there are tree roots and shifting soil, but apparently had no idea had to construct substantial and secure borders to allow for these things. Here we are three years later, with continuous issues and deteriorating borders. Today is October 3, 2021 and I contacted him last week seeking input on what to do. His reply was (for us) to keep making repairs. I would never use or recommend him or his company to anyone. Mr. Heibel may? know irrigation, but he lacks professional knowledge on landscaping, and we wasted good money using him.
