    My opinion and experience C. Summo Construction is that this a terrible contractor. Do not consider using this Company or any firm associated with Christopher Summo. C. Summo Construction signed a contract with us to build a 3 bedroom dwelling for a total price of $346,000 that was to be completed within 6 months. After 13 months the project was still not completed and he abandoned the job leaving us with an unfinished house that could not be lived in and a mortgage to pay. To make things worse, he did not pay a number of his subcontractors and material suppliers ( ABC Supply and Grabber). Consequently we have had to deal with subcontractors and suppliers trying to collect funds from us which we had already paid to C. Summo Construction.
    He hired unlicensed subcontractors to perform work on the project. He also demanded payments for work that was not completed and stopped work on the project to exhort payments that were not yet duein the construction agreement payment disbursement schedule.
    His contractors license was forfeited while he was working on the project and failed to disclose this to us. As of 4/14/2016, his contracting license is still forfeited. There are least two formal complaints against this company that are currently being investigated by the state regulatory department of commerce (RICO) and the firm has at least two court judgements against them for failure to pay their suppliers.
