I would not recommend Cabo Blue Pools to anyone. Mr. Kling started out good with the job. He was to acid wash the pool, repair some lose sandstone around the pool and apply a sealant to the stone, replace pump gaskets and fix the pool light. The acid wash was good but his work with the sandstone was not very good. The sealant is peeling off, and the grout was not professionally done. The grout bled over into the pebblestone deck and now looks very bad. I asked him to fix this and I have not seen him for weeks now. He was not very responsive to my texts, emails and voice messages I left him. He made up many medical excuses and other work project excuses the reason he could not come over to fix the issues. He is not very reliable. I gave him $75 to get chlorine tablets for the pool in January 22 and I did not receive anything from him since. I asked him to return the $75 but I have not received anything back. Bottomline, I would not use his services for any pool jobs!

Phillip initially impressed me with his responsiveness and answering all my questions promptly over several days before I decided to hire him out of the seven other businesses I got estimates from. Phillip was very personable and even replaced the flapper in my toilet. Then he began to have a lot of personal problems over a five month period (brother had emergency surgery, step-dad broke his leg and Phillip had to build him a wheel chair ramp, brother died, Phillip’s truck was stolen, he was hospitalized, etc. etc.) I was patient and understanding of these events but once he got those resolved, he abandoned the project and I had to hire someone else to finish. Then another problem arose. While removing the old posts, he informed me that he broke a sprinkler pipe but didn't fix immediately, not it until five months later. During the time this pipe was broken, we had quite a bit of rain so I wasn’t using the sprinkling system so I guess he felt there wasn’t any hurry in repairing the pipe. However, a few weeks later the sprinkling system it didn’t work. When I called someone to repair it, I was told that bits of concrete had entered the sprinkling system and eventually clogged the line. It cost me $507.79 to have it repaired. I called Phillip but he didn’t answer or return my call so I then notified Phillip via your website and told him I expected him to reimburse me. Afterall, he was vetted by you and supposedly insured. He hasn’t responded. It’s taken me this long to respond to your email asking what I thought of Cabo Blue Pools because I’ve been so depressed.

Did not pick his bid, but all pre-build/bid discussions were very professional.

Phillip is very energetic and really gets to know your personality and helped with planning our pool design. Quality is his number one priority when it comes to his work. I highly recommend him for his work.

Absolutely the worst experience with any contractor. They do not supervise their subcontractor so you have equipment driven on septic tanks, poor quality plaster, people deficating on property etc. Only time you see Blue Haven superintendent is collecting money. Stay away. I have stained (no faded) plaster and they refuse to remedy. They have had 3 warranty managers in the last year. No wonder.
