We just finished an extensive home improvement project with Calderbank’s that included plumbing, electrical, plus a ton of intricate carpentry (replacing destroyed 100+ year old inlaid hardwood floors). We could not be happier with the finished product. The attention to detail alone was worth the price, but it’s the fact that Glenn sources the best possible materials that sealed the deal for me. Respectful, courteous, and always on time as promised. This is the best contractor experience we’ve ever had.

Glenn and his team rebuilt our front porch for us. We had inherited someone's DIY extravaganza, and it was actually beginning to fall off the house, so it needed to be replaced. We were also hopeful that we could arrange for something more attractive, and had seen a porch Glenn had done across town that we admired. Everything he suggested turned out beautifully: stained glass accents, a period-appropriate front door, 200-year-old oak for the interior. What my husband used to affectionately call our "junkyard porch" is no more, and in its place is something absolutely gorgeous. People literally cross the street to tell me how lovely it is!

Also, having worked with a number of contractors in my life, I appreciate Glenn a lot. He's straightforward and communicative as well as highly skilled; he has a great eye for detail; and his rates are quite reasonable (especially considering the end result). If you want something not just really good but genuinely special, he is the person to hire.

We’ve only started our bathroom remodel with Glenn but so far they have been excellent. They went above and beyond to be careful, clean and considerate with the demo and we were surprised at how well they cleaned up.

We had started out wanting to correct 2nd floor sagging issue and redo a bathroom, and Glenn investigated and quickly found the root of the problem with our floors was a failed beam in a load bearing location. (This was after several other contractors missed the problem.) Glenn's team quickly addressed the structural issue, fixing our floor sag in the process, as well as restoring our bathroom. The dry wall work, tiling, etc. were very well executed - we were very satisfied with the job.

Our 2 porches were in need of lots of work - and Glenn and his team did a great job restoring them. They replaced railings and posts (fabricating to match our 1880s house) replaced stairs, refinished floor on one porch and installed new mahogany floor on the other. Glenn also replied promptly to calls and gave the estimate quickly. We highly recommend him!

He and his crew restored/rescued our nearly 100yr old lakehouse; it was amazing to watch their precision and artistry transfigure our home. We had interior and exterior work done by Glenn and his team. This property is my home but I own several rental properties. In the time that I have owned the rentals and other past primary residences I have worked with a multitude of general contractors. My experience with Glenn and his team was the first really positive one. Glenn is very straightforward. He won’t show up to your house with a lifted truck and a flashy presentation. He comes with a keen eye and years of experience. He will provide you with a detailed proposal and will deliver on that proposal. Hidden costs won’t appear and you won’t hear any “sorry this cost more than I expected” from him. The only reason we had any changes to the amount my project cost was when I explicitly said I wanted to add something and Glenn made it clear that I would incur an additional charge. The quality of workmanship was excellent and it was obvious that Glenn cared about the finished product as much, if not more, than I did. He added character to every space. No room was just paint, Sheetrock and fixtures. Every room was given personality and Glenn personally crafted added details to each space. He sources the best materials and for work on historic homes he takes great pride in making sure his work is indistinguishable from the original structure. Could not more highly recommend Glenn and his team!

Glenn’s crew were craftsmen as well as gentlemen. Disruption was minimal, the work was finished according to schedule, everything was put back like they were never here except for the beautiful finished product! Highly recommended!

Glenn and his team are absolutely incredible. We are so happy to have found them. Glenn truly treats each job like he was working on his own house. Glenn designed an amazing one-of-a-kind office for me. The custom desk is stunning, and I appreciated his eye for design and detail. Everyone who sees the office thinks it's a WOW!

We were very impressed with Glenn’s carpentry and the professionalism of his team, however, even with a detailed work order Glenn was belligerent with me regarding completing it in a timely manner. We started the job at least one week late, then he took off three days and a one week job turned out into a three week endeavor while I was sick with bronchitis. Unfortunately his work did not hold up and we paid $18,000.00 to replace two closet French doors, electrical work molding and crown molding. I had to request they paint my doors, even though this was in the contract. I even obsolved him of minor damage that he was overwrought about occurring. He removed window treatment with a written contract to put new window treatments back up but he stated this was not in the contract — he had to come back to repair an electrical failure, but refused when the curtain rod fell off the wall and closet doors no longer close due to issues with the doors. He charged a lot of money and was rude to my husband.

Glenn and team are extremely professional and amazing craftsman. His vision for our entire home was transformed from a paper drawing to reality. Attention to detail and innovative design was the result and the family is happy with all the improvements. I highly recommend Calderbanks to anyone that is looking for high quality. Good result for the cost and quality of work offered. Job was completed in timely manner, but supervision of workers could have been better: In particular, some details of spackling and painting were initially subpar, and required calls to the contractor to address these deficiencies in the last couple of days. To his credit, Glenn dealt with the issues we raised in a professional manner and delivered above expectations with the plumbing and electrical work performed. Overall end result was very good.

We Hired Calderbank after looking for a reasonable price on installing our new front entryway door. Glenn found some hitches fixed them made everything look and feel perfect. I do recommend him and will use his expertise again. His arrival time was spot on got right to work and when done, cleaned and vacuumed the work area. Beautiful job.

What started out as a project to cover some heating duct work led to replacing a front wall, fixing our chimney and custom painting our living room! Seems like there isn't anything he can't do and do well! We would definitely recommend Glenn and his crew and look forward to hiring them again when we update the bathroom and kitchen!

Just had Calderbank's re-cement portions and added screen to our porch/patio. They did an amazing job! It looks so updated and new! Calderbanks also built a new cabinet around our family room tv, it looks spectacular! Seamless! There was so much attention to detail and the finished product shows it! Thank you Calderbanks!
