started by ignoring salesman's reccommendation on the size of system I should have. Ordered bigger inverter than was reccommended and have added panels to meet my needs. As of today, I make slightly more electricity than I consume and I also run a pool pump. Doug Maxwell has always been quick to respond to my needs; always just a cell phone call away. If you know what it is that you want and are committed to having it your way, Doug Maxwell is the contractor that will make it happen. (maybe it's a Chula Vista thing)...........

Owner of company did a solar job for me in Rancho Bernardo. My solar did not work for months and he ignored me to fix it. And then he tried to charge me to fit his own design errors.
I do not recommend Mr. Maxwell to anyone

Contractor has no workers comp. Yet has personnel installing solar. A big liability for the home owner. He also does not have an electrical license. I would not recommend using this contractor for solar or electrical in the future as he does not have the correct licenses, or work experience to take care of a business effectively and take care of a home owner.
Owner of contractor has worked for many general contractors that are unethical and unprofessional. Also takes advantage of customers by overcharging them for his services.
Stay away from this contractor.

The only reason I'm giving them one star is because you have to in order to rate them...even though that is a terrible rating it is still to good for them. Do not use California Solar Thermal Inc. - Matthew Traficonte the owner does not follow through on anything. They did such a bad job installing our system we had to have another company come in to get it working properly and they had to replace piping and wiring that was not for exterior use. They also installed equipment to get it approved so they could get the money for the rebate and then removed the equipment without our knowledge. They made promise after promise to come in and complete the job to bring it to code and then never showed and wouldn't return phone calls. They never answer the phone. They were located in San Diego and now he is in LA.
