Family owned and operated, Cambridge Exteriors has been meeting the exterior remodeling needs of Northern Illinois since 1991. As three brothers who grew up in Cary, we still feel like we are working in our own back yard with clients who are our neighbors. I had my roof replaced in 2001. In 2014 I had 60k of inside damage due to ice water dam. After fighting with my insurance for over 3 years, finally, this year my insurance paid for the roof. Because my insurance did not want to replace the roof, at the end the cost was 100k. Over two years ago, I notified the company, when find out that this company did not installed the roof per code. Installed one row of ice water shield, where the code requires 2/3 rows. The company has retained an attorney, after I told I was going to take legal action. In one of the early letter his attorney alleged that the statute of limitation is 3 years, the facts are that it start from the day of discovery, in this case as of July 2017. This July, I replaced the roof and found to be corrected. I sent the photos to the attorney with a letter, he did give f%&%% =, did not respond. Be very careful before you have this company do any work. It's a company that you can not trust. Subs the work to none qualify contractors. Be very, very careful before you hire this company to any work.

Tolling the Statute of Limitations
There are many interesting controversies about when statutes of limitation begin and end. In many cases, the injured party may not even know he was wronged until a great while after the wrong was committed. This is often true in the case of A"Breach of Contract" and it often arises in cases of wage law violations and medical malpractice. In the case of certain surgical procedures, the party may not know that, for example, a sponge was left in his abdomen or something else was done improperly -- until years later. There has also been much controversy, now largely settled by statute, about whether the statute should begin to run when the wrong was committed or when it was discovered. Court decisions have largely gone in favor of the injured party, allowing the statute to start running upon discovery of the injury or when the injury or A Negligence should "reasonably have been discovered."The only way to resolve this is, I need to get an attorney

I have hired this company to do work on my home over 15 years. They installed the siding on my home ( which was detailed) and roofing. An outstanding job and local company. Great customer service too.

We highly recommend Cambridge Exteriors to our family, neighbors and friends. We had a new roof put on by Cambridge Exteriors. We are very happy. Cambridge did an excellent job. I interviewed approximately 7 plus roofers and chose Cambridge Exteriors. The brand of our roofing shingles that we chose gave us a high recommendation for us to use Cambridge Exteriors. Brad from Cambridge helped us with an issue that had nothing to do with our roof. We had a plumbing and tile issue on the lower ceiling of the house and Brad helped us even though it was not a roof issue. Cambridge responded to our call immediately and offered their assistance.

Had siding and roof put on our house, less than year later had leak which stained the drywall ceiling in our family room,called and one of the owners showed up and said he did not see anything wrong with the installation,said he would consult with his brother which is the other owner , two months later and still waiting for a answer or repair.I would not recommend this business very slow to respond and don't live up to any warranty.
Response from Cambridge Exteriors May 16, 2018Rich, Thank you for your review. Last August when you contacted me about your roof leak, I was on site within 24 hours to address your concerns. After hose testing the potential leak area with you, no leak was found. As a courtesy to try and fix your problem I began to look at other potential leak areas. I then discovered a tennis ball and tree debris clogging the gutter and downspout directly above the leak area. (Neither the gutter or downspout were installed by my company) This debris caused the gutter to overflow water down the wall which caused the leak. The gutter was cleaned as a courtesy to you for no charge. I reached out to you on 3/15/2017 at 3:10 PM and you stated that your roof had not leaked since I cleaned out the gutter on my initial inspection. For 26 years Cambridge Exteriors takes pride in 100% customer satisfaction.
