We purchased a showcase Cambridge home seven years ago. Since then we’ve had to replace two toilets, the air conditioning motor, the oven built into a wall that was non-standard, pipes, and water to the outdoor fountain. In addition, part of the sprinkler system has never worked and the landscaping was obviously haphazard with trees planted under the eaves and the lawn sod was plopped on rock and concrete dust. I expect we will find out in the coming years how many other corners they cut.
