We decided to sell our house because of a change in jobs and both contractors we've used in the past were not available for weeks. I found a house in our new city right away so we were in a hurry. Our realtor suggested Campbell Brothers who were immediately available and I trusted the realtor so we moved forward.
They were quit agreeable and the quote was not un-reasonable for the touch-up/painting we needed done.
Contractors as a whole have a terrible reputation for over promising and under delivering. These guys are a great example of why contractors have this reputation.
Two week job turned into a month and a half.
The paint job was horrible, paint spattered on the carpet and trim and there were areas that were missed entirely.
The trim pieces around the doors that were adjusted did not fit together (gaps on the corners) and the finish nail holes not filled. On several pieces the trim was spilt where a nail was put too close to the edge.
After the third time we had them back to address the inferior quality work I finally had had enough and my wife did not want them back in the house. Every day when we came home the house smelled like stale cigarettes and liquor and the guys doing the "work" looked like homeless people.
The only thing these guys were in a hurry to get done was get paid.
I would not recommend Campbell Brothers Constuction of Fargo, ND.
