Charley Hipple, President of Cardinal Construction, Inc., began his career in the remodeling and roofing business in Arlington, Texas in 1990 working for a small company specializing in residential/commercial remodeling and roofing, while at the same time, attending Architecture and Business school. Upon graduating in 1993, Charley and his wife, Gayle, moved to Duluth, Georgia, where he began working in the custom home and commercial building business.

With numerous building awards in the Atlanta market, we believe that a commercial or residential remodeling or new construction project is, in essence, a partnership with the client. We have a strong commitment to excellence and believe that a truly successful project is a marriage of all key facets of the job. Don't waste your time, $750k new construction took a month to start after the deposit, permit was pulled and stop work order by county for 2 months for Charley failing to maintain silt runoff from site even when they gave him a notice in advance to fix it (instead he asked them how much was the fine - which just pissed off the county enforcement); his subcontractors SUCK and have virtually no craftsmanship and don't listen to our specs, had to look over Charley's shoulder and point out weekly flaws as the build was happening, only for subs to do it however they wanted and frequently incorrect AGAIN the 2nd time, Charley needs an assistant but tries to do it all himself, and as a result does none of it very well, Charley provided our mortgage company a notarized lien waiver, but it was falsified and soon after closing had a lien placed on our property from the gas contractor, the punch list was never completed and Charley has not returned calls or texts for over a month. This left us to remove forms from the concrete driveway, fix the attic fan ourselves, finish the roof vent that was incomplete, buy the downspouts that were incompletely installed, install the cabinet drawer replacements ourselves that were damaged during their install, install the tile backsplash in our outdoor kitchen; all for which we asked him to schedule his subs to do but he didn't make it happen as he said he would. Have to say... "stay far away" from this guy.

A crew of Three arrived on time and ready to build my screened porch, it was done professionally. The two guys came back until the job was complete and I was excited about the finished product. I will use the company again and again because they give you more than what you expect. Try them for yourself and you will be pleased.
