    It’s with great regret that I am having to communicate publicly since Joe has refused to communicate honestly with me and my business partner (the wife). We contracted with Castro Pool & General Contractors Company in July 2018 with the expectation of the pool being completed in September 2018 for my daughter's birthday party. Joe explained that it would be a tall task to complete the pool by the first of September, but he believed he could do it based on his 19 years of experience.

    As of June 3, 2019, our pool is still unfinished; unfortunately, I was forced to pay Joe the entire $61,095.12 before the pool was completed due the need to get my $40K out of the amount financed. He has yet to install my Polaris 280 pool cleaner and pump, Jandy auto fill, Jandy pool cleaner pump, Aqualink control panel, Spa blowers, etc. All of the aforementioned equipment has been paid for in full!

    Joe assured me that he would do the right thing and complete my pool within 2 weeks from 3/5/19 (date of full payment). Joe continues to make promises to complete the pool and never delivers as promised. He has a BBB accreditation sticker affixed to his work vehicle which is extremely deceptive since the BBB website clearly states that he is not BBB accredited.

    I contacted all the vendors on my pool permit and they claim this is not the Joe they partnered with; however, they are also unable to get Joe to do the right thing. It leaves me asking the question, “Why tarnish your company’s reputation by partnering with a pool company which deliver’s a service experience as described in my review?” I am soliciting all/any help from the city of Midlothian, all contractors on my permit, Jandy/Zodiac equipment manufacturers, SCP Distributors, and National Pool and Tile (NPT).

    I am still pleading with Joe to complete my pool since it's about to be a full year and he has received payment in full 3 months ago. I am leaving this review in the hopes that he values his company's reputation, and this will prompt him to do the right thing. I lost all leverage by paying him in full due to my personal financial situation of which I made Joe completely aware.

    For every negative review, Joe throws the homeowner under the bus. That said, I will gladly share all the details of this unpleasant working experience with any and all prospective homeowner(s) looking to contract with Castro's Pool & General Contractors for their family's outdoor pool adventure.

    Lastly, I understand that under his General Contracting division that he is approaching homeowners to complete their roofing projects. Consumer’s must band together to filter out the good contractors from the deceptive, unscrupulous business operators.

    Pool acid wash and tile work

    They want 50% up front then show up an hour and a half late and don’t bring the proper tools to do the job. I didn’t front money. Then they just disappear. Very unreliable and unprofessional.
