Do not hire this contractor. I hired him to pull up ceramic tile, carpet and install floating Luxury Vinyl Planking and trim. He did a very poor job of installing the trim, bought PVC trim without asking me what kind I wanted and it looks horrible. He missed some spots on the trim and when I told him I was unhappy with his work he told me he would have to charge me to come back to fix it after he told me his work was guaranteed for life. His explanation was that he charged me four hours of labor for the trim when he did seven. I would have paid for the seven hours if it was done properly and I did not ask him to do seven hours of labor and only charge for four. He suggested that I hire someone else to fix it. Yesterday my daughter stepped on the floor and he did not clear up the debris under the floating floor and a plank cracked! There are some areas where the planks are not properly installed and I will most likely need to have it re-done as I can feel the debris from other rooms underneath the floor. He also cut the top of the bathroom door for the flooring why I don't know and glued it back on. I will now need to replace the bathroom door.

Our 18 day project was never completed in entirety after 8mo. Work was shoddy, he showed late, if ever, used scrap supplies, his "help" smoked weed on my porch, etc. Once we repaired the visible things as much as we could, we were trying to enjoy the basement for the holidays. On Dec 24th, I took an awful fall down the stairs which had been covered and bull nosed with laminate flooring, which were not only loose, but inches short of code. I had a fractured face bone, stitches, brain bleeds along with numerous other injuries. Salt in the wound, he put a lien on our home for more than half of the original contract when he didn't compete the work! After spending money on an attorney, the lien was quickly resolved bc it was complete bs. He may have assumed his scare tactic was going to result in a pay off. He should be paying me for my permanent injuries! Dont touch this guy. Should have paid attention to my instincts.
