John, the owner of CCS Builders is a true professional and perfectionist. His introduction to me for the major gut renovation of a high end Bathroom was strange to say the least. Earlier this year we gutted another Bathroom and had a miserable experience doing a 60 sq ft (6 X 10) bathroom that took over 3 months. In attempting to go with "the devil we knew" for the larger Master Bath, 180 sq ft (16 X 11) John was brought in as a Sub-Contractor to bid on the job. After my 1st meeting with John, I hoped the GC chose him, which he did. On the 1st day to begin the job, the GC pulled out and called John at 8:30 AM to notify him the job is his.

John took the challenges in stride like a professional, He began the demo, brought in his own subs for plumbing, shower install, etc. We executed a contract between each other since he was now the GC; thank GOD!

His attention to detail is without parallel. At the end of each day, he would bring my wife in to see the work completed for the day and what was to be completed the following day. This gave us the homeowner the assurance that our job was always progressing in keeping with the timeline we were promised.

We chose very difficult, European EVERYTHING. every piece of material from tile to fixtures came from Spain. Not easy to work with and retro fit to U.S. applications. Again, he did research, drove to Paramus from Toms River to meet in the showroom and was a top professional. John is now correcting all of the many defects in the 1st Bathroom job done by the previous contractor.

His trustworthiness, was earned by my family by the end of the project. If we needed to leave the home during work hours was necessary, we felt comfortable to leave John and his crew alone in our home. It must be noted that John and his crew were ALWAYS on time and worked very long hours to complete on time regardless of challenges the material created to meet the completion date promised. Our home was not treated like a construction site. Our banisters, stairs, and bedroom were protected from any wear and tear and dust that would be expected. The last contractor had dust everywhere in our home sanding the spackle and put down zero protection for our floors and walls.

Lastly, I am in the mortgage business for over 15 years in Hoboken and Jersey City. I do a great number of Commercial/Construction Loans. People with decades more experience do not conduct themselves with the skill, professionalism and precision that he does. I would recommend John to anyone and wish I could have him build for me and my clients in Hudson County. I am happy to take a call from anyone considering working with John.
