I am happy with my bathroom remodel, however there were some areas of the contract I should have been more cautious of. The contract should have been more detailed. While I have text messages in which I communicated with the contractor about a heat/light/vent and the price for this, in the contract he just listed an exhaust fan and then tried to say he had no memory of it including the light/heating element. He wanted to up charge for this. Also, he modified my vanity in order for the drain to fit, however this vanity was sitting in my garage the entire time and I feel he could've simply looked at it to make an accurate determination on height of the plumbing installation. He charged me 80. Dollars for this modification. I should have placed a clause in the contract that any up charges would be discussed with me prior to the work being done rather than putting it on my bill after the fact. I also assumed a licensed electrician would be doing the electrical work but this was not the case. Again, I should have specified this in the contract. He has a very nice and professional tiler and plumber, as well as helpers, working for him. He also kept the construction area very clean.
