We hired Mohamed to take over a construction project from a former GC who ran the project into violations and whose subcontractors had all sorts of issues. Our project was at a standstill. Once Mohamed took over the project, everything began to move forward. He was responsive, responsible and reliable in timeline which was a huge factor in the success. He was a refreshing change from the typical contractor personality. For one, he was intelligent enough to deal with the minutia of paperwork, condominium requirements and DOB rules. He was well spoken and well mannered to the point that he was able to work with even the most difficult of our former subcontractors. He hired a cordial and reliable handyman on his team, who I was always comfortable around, and trained him to do detailed work. He oversaw the project closely and made sure the end result was done with quality and done carefully. Seeing his work actually soothed my OCD. Our bathrooms were gut renovated and the final result is absolutely stunning. The whole apartment was done beautifully. Knowledge and skilled labor was applied to all of it. Whenever there was an obstacle, Mohamed was willing to work with us to help us through it. There were several stylistic choices that I changed midway through the project and he kindly and patiently accommodated my changes. For us, his involvement was a saving grace because we were dealing with so much bureaucracy and unprofessional subcontractors that he was the only reason we were able to complete our project. The fact that it was completed this well, is just the cherry on top.
