I am writing a long review so that others can make an informed decision. It appears Tony turned off reviews on Google, which should be a red flag to you. We did research, but we excuse 1-2 bad reviews, and it seems Tony is blocking reviews. My recommendation is to not get caught up in the excitement of a new home and not just trust this company. Tony Janu told me in person he “does not care what the internet thinks of him,” so he should not mind the honest review. We started the building process in June 2019 and our house was done spring 2020 after we were told it would be done Nov 2019. We first met Tony and he didn’t look us in the eye or show any respect toward us, which should have been our first red flag. We thought, "well, we look young, so that happens." We had many questions about colors and options for our home and were constantly told, “you just pick that later.” It turns out that the options Century Building has that are “included” are very limited and out-dated. Before signing, be clear on color preferences specifically for trim, cabinets, and siding before signing. Make sure the painters are given a sample of the stain color you want because they will make that excuse for why they are wrong later. We were charged thousands extra to get the things we want and were told there are no receipts or documents to prove costs or labor! Email and make a paper trail for everything. At one point we did hire a lawyer and were hours away from using him when Tony finally agreed to enough things to satisfy a closing for us. I have walked through the house pointing at issues in plain sight, and he looks away and says, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Many of our walls have been re-patched to the point they are crumbling. Many walls and floors are crooked and wavy. Our cabinets were done horribly with scratches, drips, pools of stain, and missing stain in parts. We have talked with many other people in Gateway Meadows in Osceola, and they have the exact same complaints plus more. Many people are saying changes were never communicated to the builders and they had to keep going back and forth to fix things as well. Tony blames our delay on inability to find framers; however, we have heard that many framers refuse to work with this company. We have heard the same complaints from other vendors in the area. Tony already owns the lots, so options here are limited, unfortunately. I would never recommend anyone to build with this company. It has been a complete nightmare and they still owe us a yard. They want to put sod and seed on sand. If you drive around the development, you can see the dry, patchy yards due to them doing this to everyone's yards, and they claim it just needs to be watered. At one point Tony told me he's not going to keep coming in and out to fix things, where I replied he should have built a quality house in the first place. It took a lot of fight just to get them to fix the things that should have never been deemed as finished. Do your research to make an informed decision and reach out to the neighbors before signing!

We recently purchased a home that was built in 2019 by this company. We noticed a few things that were kind of goofy about the layout, but moved ahead with the purchase anyway. The first few really cold days in late November/December we started to notice a huge temperature difference in the entryway and the entryway closet of our house. Put new weather stripping around the front door hoping to help. We then started to notice spots on the ceiling of the closet and the entry way. We pulled down the sheet rock in the closet to find there is NO insulation over the entry way or the closet. Sheetrock and a layer of thin plastic. Moisture trapped between the plastic and sheetrock all over the ceiling. So disappointing to purchase a home that is only two years old..... I am only dreading to find out what will come out next.
