Big Con-artist, Marcus Jones (Owner of this company) be careful with this guy.
He agreed on the contract to make a deck for fix amount mentioned in the contract, Labor and Material included. He started the project on November 4th, 2021 with XYZ workers and after just making the frame of the deck he said the deck will cost you about $15,000 more than in the contract. At this point only after making a frame he has collected almost 3/4th amount of the contracted money from me according to his contract. I had an argument but at the end I agreed to go ahead with the new price and will add money as required but told him not to stop the project as the winter was very close and I wanted to finish before snow starts. After that he told me that he has allocated $20,000 for material and it's done, so he wants me to buy the material. (although contract says material included) After I started buying material he told me that his guys don't want to work in cold weather (Late November 2020) . At this point he stopped paying his guys for the labor and they stopped coming to work at my project. (I confirmed this with his guys). The project halted for a long time (December 2020 & January 2021) . Even after the weather improved, I tried calling him several times but he did not respond to any of my phone calls or text messages. After a month (in February 2021) I tried calling him again from a different phone number and luckily he picked up. I begged him to finish the project and he said I will come this weekend with my guys and see what needs to be done. He did not come in that weekend and now again he is not picking up his phone. This way he gutted about big chunk of my money by just making a frame of the deck. His guys has wasted lot of material and most of the things were not done right. This way neither he know what he is making or his guys know what he is talking. Lots of miss communication in design he doses not convey his guys what they were making according to design. This what a big designed deck and he screwed up whole design. Very very Irresponsible guys who is not picking up any phone. Left me stranded half way in this big project. Looking online I just came to know he lost his license so be careful.
