Charles cost of thousands of dollars and we lost 6 months due to his lack of work ethic. He was hired to design our master bedroom and our kitchen remodel .He took the job in October of 2015, in April of 2016 we still did not have our plans for the kitchen . He would never return phone calls , emails ,for days at a time! He would come to meeting totally unprepared , when we would ask him why he was not prepared he would raise his voice and makeup excuses ! Finally after all these months of not giving us out plans he demanded we pay him all the money upfront which we would not follow since he was not even performing for the work that he was already paid!
We later found out that he is notorious for moving projects at his own slow pace. After all of these months , when I show his plans to contractors they all says it has very little detail. I have build 2 offices and our last home, this was a very bad and costly experience for our family .

Permits
- Building permit records show that Charles Ian Blaugrund has worked on 199 permitted projects.
Charles was recommended to do a SIMPLE drawing of roof repair which involved the truss and tiles. He came by the house and was on site for about 15 minutes. My family was displaced due to fire damage to our home. It took Charles months to do a simple draw up, which we needed to submit to the city before repairs could be completed - and before we could move back in.
Charles failed to meet his OWN loose deadlines and continued to put us off week after week. Finally, after water damaged had seeped in months later after heavy rains, he finally delivered the drawing to city buildings department. They kicked it back because they said his drawing did not meet basic requirements and appeared to be quickly drawn with very little detail. After putting more pressure on him, and leveraging his reference, he finally got the permits. The permits department also said he failed to mention this was fire damage, or they would have moved it to the front. That delay cost us a couple more weeks.
In my opinion, I would not recommend Charles for any type of work. He failed to meet his own LOOSE guidelines and continued to make excuses on such a small job. It is important to point out that he is the only one receiving this type of negative review out of all those who performed work on my home after the fire. He then tried to use a last ditch effort to blame Covid 19 for the delay, though all of HIS delays were before COVID-19 and the shut down began. Highly not recommended.
