Terrible experience with this builder and we have ongoing problems with workmanship.
My fanily bought our home from Mr. Henock Cherrelus in November of 2023. He Informed us that he was the Realtor and Builder of the home located in Naples, Florida. He stated that he is the owner of the listed company; Cherrelus Custom Home Builder LLC, 283-29th Street Southwest in Naples, Florida, 34117. He is the person that I have been in contact with from November 2023 to March of 2024(when he stopped communicating with me). I have had several issues with the workmanship performed by Mr. Cherrelus' team and the lack of professionalism and communication on the part of Mr. Cherrelus. I informed him of the repairs that were needed and the completion of unfinished work for months as is needed by The CHAPTER 558 Process – Florida’s Construction Defect Statute. We have had 2 leaks in the roof area which caused damage to insulation and the drywall and several leaking pipes. On November 16, 2023, we signed an addendum to the purchasing contract for our home with Cherrelus Custom Home Builder LLC to have the left rear impact window in the living room swapped for a matching impact window before January 1, 2024. Mr Henock Cherrelus was the signee listed on the mentioned Addendum. I have asked by phone, in person and by text message to have Mr. Cherrelus honor the contract which he signed; as of the date of this review he has not done so. There are sections of the kitchen and garage of the home that still need to be painted. Mr. Cherrelus sent a painter to the home on December 4, 2023, to do work, the painter arrived without paint and no work was done. Every attempt that I made to have this task rescheduled was unsuccessful due to lack of communication on the part of Mr. Cherrelus. The bathroom lights in the master bathroom and closet areas does not work sometimes, lights and outlets dont work for days at a time. The issues we have faced with this 2023 built home is ridiculous. We also have a hot water issue where we do not get hot water for longer than 5 minutes. An Electrician contracted through Mr. Cherrelus informed us that we need a 50-gallon tank to solve this issue, not the 40-gallon that was installed.
Mr. H. Cherrelus is the worst person I have had the displeasure of doing business with. He does not honor contracts; written nor verbal and does not meet set deadlines. A lawsuit against him maybe your only course of action if he gives you a warranty, contract or his word. I hope other consumers will avoid the stress and headaches that comes from doing business with Cherrelus Custom Home Builder LLC.
I also attempted to resolve this issue through the Better Business Bureau, Mr. Cherrelus did not respond to any requests to solve the issues highlighted.
