    Rebuild our house
    $132,000

    We hired them to rebuild our home lost in the Nor Cal wildfires. After months of poor communication and slow progress, we have paid them over $130,000 for about $60,000 worth of work. The City of Santa Rosa told us this builder is out of business, while Chiaramonte lied to us and said they were working. Our project has been abandoned for weeks, and there are subcontractors and suppliers unpaid in a total amount of more than $20,000 (that we know about). Chiaramonte is unresponsive to our demands for a detailed cost accounting, for payment to their subs and suppliers, and for a refund of the money not spent on our job. We are one of many families in similar situations, out huge chunks of money with little or nothing to show for it. At best, Chiaramonte bungled our project and cannot be trusted to manage large scale construction projects. At worst, they took advantage of our situation and are now running away with our money.
