  Deck with stairs

  $4,500

  We had a deck and stairs added to the back of our house. The work was completed and we were satisfied, however… The permit required for this work was never applied for, submitted, and completed. After asking several times and being told it was completed. Chris Shaw blatantly lied to us about submitting for the required permit. I contacted the building inspector and found there was no permit submitted or completed for the work he had completed. The only reason he was able to get away with this lie is because he claimed everything was done online electronically. But never had any intentions of complying. I kept copies of his lies via screenshot text messages and submitted them to the building inspector.

  Install a fence

  Chris was more than accommodating. He was on time for the job… after completing, he and crew cleaned the area as if no one was there. He a Leo kept us informed during the process. He honored the estimate of the job. Our new fence is a great asset to our property looks great and very sturdy . I would recommend Two Sons construction for your project needs.

  Windo trim, fascia, porch remodel, water damage repair.

  $10,000

  Chris came out, we discussed all the work I was looking to have done. Which was all new Azek window trim and fascia along with new tongue and groove ceiling for my wrap around porch with ceiling fans added.
  Added a new entrance to my garage, and also repaired water damage where my rear door walked out to the deck. The crew cut out and replaced all the water damaged material and did a fantastic job !
  My porch ceiling looks absolutely incredible!
  The living room hardwood floor that was replaced due to the water leak? Can’t even tell!
  Most impressive was how fast everything was completed. Was hard to keep up with the crew providing them with material to keep busy !

  Replaced sheetrock and insulation in garage. Replace floors in bathroom and hall.

  i recently had a toilet that leaked water in the bathroom and down into the cellar and garage. I left messages with several contractors, none of which returned my call! I got Chris's name from a friend who had used his services so I gave him a call and he returned it!! He and his crew replaced insulation and sheetrock in the garage, installed new lights, replaced the bathroom and hall floors on the first floor. Their work was excellent and the workers were all pleasant. Many thanks to my friend for the recommendation and to Chis and crew for an excellent job.

  Partial Fence and fence gates installation

  Unfortunately I cannot recommend this contractor. He does not seem to stand by his own work. To this day his promises to stop by and fix the fence gate they installed poorly has not been done. I’ve contacted him on numerous occasions over the course of over a month and he never made any effort to come by. Only broken promises. We always support local businesses however this is the reason why at times we hesitate because they never make things right or stand by their own work. Such a shame.

  Deck

  I wanted to go out of my way to review Two Sons Construction because I’m tired of those miserable clients who make small business have a bad rap on sites because they weren’t happy with a couple things or they expected a million dollar job for what they paid.. I understand these conditions as I’m very familiar with the business game.. but I just had a deck installed by this business and it far exceeded my expectations expectations, especially with the current Covid times! Anything I was not THRILLED WITH I would discuss with Chris and it was done with exactly the way I wanted within a timely manner. I would recommend this company and their crew .. I’m just so over the clients who are completely unable to manage and expect things that aren’t even possible from any company and write terrible reviews and other potential clients go off of the reviews, it’s such a shame. Give them a call a thing from inside to out.. I’m sure they can complete!

  I have to say that after reading these reviews I was a bit skeptical but so happy I used my gut and everything pointed out was exactly the opposite of my experience.

  I needed several things done but decided to start with a rear deck - replacing three sets of staircases and multiple landings.

  Chris came within a day and provided a proposal for the work which included a timeline and cost.

  He sent me a contract once we decided to move forward, he sent photos every day and the work was awesome (he pulled the permit and it was inspected by the building inspector).

  High quality, professional and great value.

  Will be using him for the next phase of work whic will include a soffit, roof and chimneys.

  Would be willing to be a referral for him

  I just had Chris Shaw repair a water leak on my roof, he did not complete it and it rained in. Wish I had seen these reviews before I hired him. Now I have to pay someone to do the right repair to stop the water from coming in. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CHRIS SHAW - TWO SONS CONSTRUCTION. Check the license board in MA he is not licensed.

  I contacted Chris to put in a sliding door for my bedroom closet not only did he use cheap material he didn't finish the job. I had to hire someone else to finish it. He used an old rail and screwed in handles to door. I wouldn't recommend him.

  I hired Chris for a painting job, he sent over his painters and they did one of the worst hack jobs I've ever seen. The painter blamed Chris for telling him to just paint over whats there without sanding or priming. Chris then blamed the painter. I wanted my entire house painted but price seemed very high and after I saw the quality of the work I will be going elsewhere to finish my house. All quotes are via text and they claim they will fix mistakes, but at the end of the day I just wanted these people out of my house. I'd rather fix it myself at this point. I paid $750 to have my stair case painted white and then my upstairs hallway painted... and bought my own paint. Home owner beware!

  Bathroom remodel

  Chris talks a good game, but he is NOT as experienced as he claims. He doesn't provide written quotes or invoices - all done via text. His "crew" is very inexperienced - sloppy, clumsy with tools, destructive, don't check before they cut with power tools, etc. We put a halt to the rebuilding of a new master bath because of their inexperience and unwillingness to understand the difference between waterproof and water resistant. Chris claimed he would reimburse us or at least split the cost of us having to demo his work and start from scratch. Repeated attempts to reach him have gone unanswered. I do NOT recommend Chris Shaw.
