Hired this contractor to install pavers on our front entrance and a short walkway leading to that entrance. When finished I questioned Mr. Dowling about the extreme pitch of the walkway. His response was he has done many the same way and never had a problem or complaint. Well, the inspector failed the work due to,guess what? The pitch of the walkway was double what was acceptable and deemed unsafe. No agreement could be reached for some monetary compensation. The cost of repairing this mess was $1150.00. Lesson learned!

I have been using Chris for eight years and never had a problem until last year. When Chris came to do the trimming he left his crew here and went to another site. While the crew was doing the trimming I went out and noticed that one of the crew accidentally cut back two of my scotch brooms that Chris had just planted the year before. When Chris came back he said he was sorry but that they would come back next year. Unfortunately they did not and we had to dig them up and throw them out. This year when Chris came he left his crew and again went to another site. When I went to check on the trimming I noticed that one of his crew cut the last two scotch brooms down again. When I started telling him he said TOO LATE! I told the lead crew guy that when Chris came back I wanted to talk with him. All of a sudden the one that did the cutting started to curse and they continued going back and forth with profanities. When Chris returned I advised him as to what happened and he said he was sorry. After paying Chris I noticed that the crew and stepped all over the tiger lillies in my flower bed and also cut back to plants that were just planted by Chris last year. I took pictures and immediately called Chris. I did not receive a call back for a few day and then finally Chris came back 10 days later and said that the bushes will come back and that the tiger lily were going to die anyway. I said they are still blooming. This is definitely not the same Chris that I have had for the last eight years. I have previously recommended him to 33 people but never again. I don't know what changed him he was such a nice man.
