DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY or his brothers Dave and Brian! We hired him to build an addition for us. He cut corners, and did not know what he was doing. Rather than hire a framing crew as he had done in his reference projects, he decided to tackle it with his brothers. The North Kingstown building inspector (whom we called in because of mounting concerns) found over 50 code violations and declared the building structurally unsound. An engineer-architect determined that it was cheaper to tear it down and start over than it would be to attempt to correct all the problems in his work. We sued, and he filed bankruptcy to get out from under the lawsuit, leaving us no recourse. We are in the hole for over $100K as a result. He also did not support the front roof properly while adding a dormer to the back roof, causing irreparable damage to the existing front roof, so that also had to be removed to fix his mistakes. While taking it down we discovered numerous additional flaws such as undersized nails,, a structural beam set on top of and pinching electrical wires, Floor in addition set 1-1/2" higher than the floor it was supposed to align with in the existing house, which he attempted to cover with shims under the floor, and a lot of other problems. He also charged us up front for work not done (electrical, garage doors and sheetrock). Hire him at your own peril.
