    My partner and I had a home built in 2018 by
    J.C. Kady builders .
    After closing on the home we had some issues first off the heater froze up then the toilet's beeswax wasn't installed properly
    Kitchen floor was coming up bathroom floor same thing washing machine kept tripping the electric panel. Mr. Kady till this day 3 years later hasn't taken care of these issues.

    I hired Paul to replace the stairs on my back deck. Paul did an awesome job. He arrived when he said he would. His work was great. He removed all the old wood when he left. Paul is very professional and takes pride in his work. I highly recommend Paul and will hire him again.

    I bought a house from him 20 years ago. As soon as I signed off it poured out and I had a leak in my master bedroom. I was told he’d be back to fix a leak on the roof. Was detected as poor quality from one of his sub contractors. The roof needed a “cricket”. I’m still waiting........ He’s just a pencil pusher that barters everything.

    I hired Westwood one construction in july of 2015, gave him an $18,000 deposit to build me a simple garage.
    I layed out the markers for the excavation and the hole was dug in the right place.
    He poured the footing without using any rebar which was clearly labeled in the blue prints and then added even more concrete to the footing because he layed out the footing the wrong way according to conversations with Brian.
    He then proceeded to put the forms on the footing to pour the foundation on top of the footing, some of the forms werent even on the footings so I called for an inspection from the building dept and he was shut down for improper building of the footing citing building code CMR 780 8th edition 403.1.1 "Minimum size of footing ( exceeds footing thickness) and code violation 105.81 poor workmanship.
    I hired a structural engineer who agreed with the building inspectors report and reported that it has to come out and be redone.
    Brian refused to do this so I filed a complaint with the Dept of Public Safety and won. His License has been suspended.
    Now he tells my lawyer that he cant do the job right for the agreed upon amount of money and he doesnt have my money anymore to refund me my $18,000
    So now I have a 36x32' hole in my backyard with a footing that I have to pay someone else to remove before I continue.
    Over the course of a year I tried to be reasonable with him to do the job right but he has refused.
    I would suggest not using Westwood one Const because no one else should have to go through what I've been through this last year just trying to get a simple garage built."

    Quoted us a firm fixed price and time line to complete the work. Took 50% deposit saying would show up in the next week to begin work. After nearly 40 phone calls and a threat to file a criminal complaint, he shows 16 weeks later. He then asks for an additional 30% of the contract to buy materials which should have been fully paid for with the 50% deposit. Finally when the work was largely completed (he never fully finished), he said costs and time were much more than contracted (although fixed price was the contract), he demanded another 56% over the full contract. Finally after retaining an attorney, he backed off his attempts to collect over the contract. Still considering suing him for the shoddy work...

    I would refer anyone/everyone to this contractor he rebuilt my condo that was a 90% loss due to a fire/flood. My place looks better than it did when I purchased it. He is very artistic and made many suggestions like crown molding etc.. He was very professional and all around gentlemen.
