By Mitch T.January 13, 2021Warranty company hired them to fix a water leak
I don’t understand why Circa originally was asked by the warranty company to be the contractor if they notoriously don’t show up to fix the problem. My experience is unique apparently. They did show up, looked at the water leak, said they had to get the work authorized and would be back. I was also told I did not need to call, they would be back. I heard absolutely nothing from them. I received a text from another contractor from Spartanburg informing me they now had a work order to fix the water leak. The person from Circa said it was PEX waterline. It is not, it is CPVC. Meanwhile, I am still in the process of getting the leak repaired. We are 9 days into the issue now...I guess customer service does not matter anymore. It only matters if they are paid...

I was concerned after all the bad reviews. Water Heater went out on Sunday, submitted a claim on Home Warranty (First American). I called and spoke with Carly on Monday, she assured me that there would be a technician on site on Tuesday. Oswald showed up and promptly repaired the issue, even dealing with all the other construction going on in the house. Kudos to both Carly and Oswald. My experience with Circa was exemplary.

This company is terrible. Circa demonstrated poor customer service and communication, texting me the day before an appointment that was basically assigned to me (they never called to see what day/time worked with my schedule). The 3 times they came to my house, they NEVER came within the time frame they gave me, and one technician even argued with me on the phone saying they changed his schedule around and had no control over it. They don’t answer the phone, and don’t inform you if they’re running late. They’ve “ordered the wrong part”, and even said that “the right part was left at the office” and I would need to be rescheduled.
I have 2 units at my house, one of which was working, and instead of the technician asking prior to working on the unit, he would have known he was working on the functional unit. Not only was he working on the wrong unit, he damaged the unit. So I went from 1 working unit to 2 faulty units. The technician claimed he would include the fact that he damaged the unit in his report so Circa would be responsible, but failed to do so. The home warranty company stated that they never received that information. Now my home warranty company has to “complete an investigation” to settle their dispute with Circa. I had my home warranty company send a new company out, I don’t want them back at my house again. I also advised the home warranty company to cancel their contract with Circa, they’re making them look bad.
Long story short, they damaged my working unit, had to have another company come out, and wasted a month of my time, thanks to Circa. Save yourself the trouble.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
These people gave me the very worst experience I have ever had with an AC. Same complaint as most of the complaints listed. I placed a request with First American Home Warranty on July 8 b/c the unit was not cooling very well. Six weeks later the system is still not working. They will not answer the phone. I believe the tech that did come out damaged the system, perhaps intentionally, and then the system would not work at all. The warranty company finally assigned the request to another company. BOTTOM LINE: Do NOT let these people do anything at your home. If your warranty company assigned them, cancel the request and submit another one and hope to get someone else.

If I could give them a worse rating than Terrible I absolutely would.
They never answer their phone (60 phone calls to them over a week period)
0 phone calls to me. No managers or supervisors could be contacted
Took 15 days to get my AC fixed
Part came in on Thursday, was supposed to come fix it Saturday. No one got the part on Friday and that part of the business is closed Saturday so they came on Monday.Nothing about this business makes sense. Its amazing that they are even in business.

June 9, 2020replace A/C unit and Condensor and Coil
They are the absolute WORST contractor EVER! DO NOT USE THEM! if your home warranty choses them for you, refuse and ask for someone else. They've missed appointments, they took my payment for the $495.00 and have YET to replace my AC/UNIT my initial call them was on 4/8/20 and they STILL have not fixed the issue. The technicians are not professional. One tech came out on 5/11/20 and replaced the coil on my AC unit. Another tech came 6/3/20 to replace the compressor, but while he was here HE BROKE the coil that had been replaced previously by his peer, but the tried to tell me that the manufacture damaged it at the time the home was built 2years ago. So when i told him that CIRCA came out 3 weeks prior and replaced it, imagine how foolish he looked. My children have been with out air since 4/8/20when they were initially called. Currently there has been no follow up, no ownership and no answer as to when they will be back out here to correct the issue.

By John G.April 25, 2020Replace a gas hot water heater$1,600
It’s never fun when your nearly 10 year-old hot water heater decides to expire on you however, the good news is we had an HSA home warranty to repair or replace it.
We had the pleasure of working with Clarissa, David, Jimmy, Mickey & our most excellent licensed & insured plumber Mr. O.V. with Circa Mechanical Services.
After being without hot water for nearly a week O.V. did an outstanding job of properly diagnosing & installing our brand new RHEEM 40 gallon gas/fired hot water heater earlier today.
He even replaced the flute piping to code and installed a new water shut off valve in our HVAC/water heater closet for our condo.
I give Circa Mechanical “high marks” and would certainly recommend them if you’re having plumbing and/or mechanical challenges at your house.
And “yes” we took a luxurious 30 mins. hot shower to celebrate.
Thanks O.V. & the whole Circa Mechanical team. ? -
By Pissed C.February 12, 2020Replace a hot water heater$495
They overcharge! Do not show up for appointments. Don’t answer their phones. I had 3 appointments they didn’t show up for neither!! But I paid them $495!!! And I’m still waiting 13 days later and I still don’t have a water heater!! I didn’t pick them American Home Shield did and now that they’re non responsive, they don’t have a solution! Horrible!!! Don’t use them or buy a warranty from American Home Shield!!!

If I could give negative stars I would. They don’t return calls, they don’t answer the phone - I have screen shots holding almost 3 hours- they don’t show up. They also take your money and don’t return it.
