DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. ***You have been warned.*** Citrus Valley Construction has a history of taking money and not completing the job they were hired for. Just read the reviews. The bad reviews are REAL! Chris had received $1000 deposit from me and has refused to return my money. I fired this contractor due to not paying his employees and after reading the horrible horror story of reviews. I cannot employ someone who does not pay their employees. Chris hired Jimenez Demolition and they are a father and son team. They were almost in tears due to not being paid for the last 3 jobs they performed. Chris was fired on the spot. I also overheard Chris saying that he will try to take the home owner (me) for as much money as possible and that he will drag the project out. This was truly disgusting to hear to say the least. I've filed a complaint with the Contractors board and will be seeking reimbursement through the court system since Chris refuses to return my deposit.

Beware! If things seem too good to be true…..

Nothing has been done on my project since I signed a contract other than the owner has generated invoices and collected money from me.

The owner sent me an invoice for project materials that he said he ordered, but I contacted the vendor, who told me these materials were NEVER ordered.

When I belatedly started doing my homework on this company, there were 22 Yelp reviews—all very positive! However, Yelp thought at the time that ALL BUT ONE were fake reviews. I pointed this out to the owner of the company and now there are 3 new positive reviews. The 21 fake reviews are still there and they are all glowing…..

None of the client references returned my calls, but I did visit a current project he was working on. I found the owner on my own and contacted her and she warned me not to work with this company and said her project is a disaster and that she may pursue legal action.

The company owner told me that he would return my deposit, but he failed to live up to his own schedule on this and I will pursue legal action as well.

I've been working with the Citrus Valley team on a very long and complex home renovation project that included - kitchen, wood floor, tiles, cabinets and more.

I have nothing but compliments on this company - Their professionalism, reliability, communication are top knotch.

It's not my first large renovation project so I can easily compare the experience - this company is doing above and beyond to keep the customer satisfied and allows you to focus on your work/life rather than managing the project.
