Very happy w/ Jacqueline's planning and execution! Replaced my aging (dying!) deck/carport, and added a pergola style sunshade so we can enjoy it even in the summer. Easy to work with, presented a realistic budget and completed work on time. Oh - and made sure her workers left my property clean every day before leaving!

Jacqueline at City Living was great to work with. We completely renovated my master bathroom and changed it from a walk-in shower to a large soaking tub with rain shower combo. She really knew her stuff and has a keen eye for detail and design. She helped me pick out some great pieces like my hardware and vanity and marble countertop. She would send me multiple options and went to many different countertop stores with me to find the perfect marble. When I didn’t like my countertop for my vanity, she spent a weekend removing the top by hand so as not to damage the cabinet, and helped my find a custom countertop that fit my preferences. Her attention to detail is impeccable. As a first timer, there were so many details I didn’t expect to have to pick out but she made it so much easier when I was about to be overwhelmed.
Throughout the process, she would oversee the work of the trades every day to ensure a high level of quality. The project only took 7 weeks and that’s because my vanity was delayed in shipping as Home Depot shipped to the wrong location. But even with that delay, the project happened so quickly I was surprised. She’s got some great hardworking trades. The result is so wonderful. I take 2 baths a day just because I love it so much. I’m hiring her for my guest bath now too because it looks shabby in comparison. -
By WilliamApril 4, 2016Home remodel- kitchen, bathrooms, general areas.$70,00045 days
With all the crazy and unexpected things that can happen during a remodel, I was glad to have Jacqueline helping out. I had her gut one of my rental homes for my never easy to please - high expectation mother to reside in. End result- she was happy.
From a design perspective, she has great taste- it is very developed and refined. She did a great job picking out and putting together the paint colors, the shower/floor tile for restrooms, wood floors for house, backsplash, kitchen, etc. She was able to match everything with the existing brick inside and outside the house- it all flows. A bonus, she was able to get me higher end materials for a better price - so the savings on materials essentially paid for her design and project management fees.
It went like this: I told her what I liked, what colors I wanted, she came back with a few ideas, options, we agreed on it, and then work started....and then finished. Best money that I have ever spent.

This was a gut-the-house down to the studs, whole-house remodeling job. Jacqueline's strengths are 1) flexibility (she rolled with it as we made numerous changes to the remodeling plan throughout the project) 2) intense focus on keeping the costs down, and 3) honesty. Offbeat personality initially takes time to understand, but she's a good egg.
