We hired this company to prepare and paint our decks. We found their business card at a local paint store. This company did not prepare the decks for painting. He did some light scraping on one deck and nothing on the other 2 decks. When he started painting, he did not tape off and protect our siding. He had a friend hold up a cloth (on a windy day), in front of her to prevent the overspray. Needless to say, this did not work. He then proceeded to paint the decks using the incorrect type of paint and only put on one very light coat of paint. When he left, we paid him in full. He said he would be back to paint the siding where all of the overspray happened. He also said he would give us a 30 day guarantee that the paint would not lift, and if it did he would come back, and fix the decks. After several attempts to call him, where he did say he would return to fix these things, the last conversation we had was 3 weeks ago. He stated that he knew we were going to be trouble, he should never have taken the job and he WAS NOT GOING TO WARRANTY his work or fix the overspray. We only wanted our decks done right, using the right paint and prepared for painting in a professional manner. He also should have covered our siding before painting which he did not do. I don't think these requests make us unreasonable customers.
I would definitely not recommend this contractor.
