We have been dealing with Clayton Homes of Lafayette for over 2 years. We had a home built by them and have had issues with them from the very beginning. Mitch Clayton is who we are dealing with. Rusty Clayton (the owner) came to closing. There is virtually no communication with them. They don't answer the phone or text messages. And when they do they make appointments, then they don't show up. They make promises that they NEVER keep. Mitch Clayton did not show up for our walk thru and there were issues that needed to be dealt with. We were told by Rusty Clayton that he would send someone over to take care of everything. No one ever showed up. There is still money in escrow, which apparently means nothing to them. We're in the house a year and have more issues that need to be handled by them. We call and text often and haven't gotten anywhere. We would like to have our issues taken care of but we also want to warn anyone who might be considering them to build a new home. Our dream home has turned into a nightmare. We would NOT recommend this builder to anyone. Please do your homework.

They are awesome people, they are very detailed in their homes and giving information. My salesperson is very knowledgeable about the homes the offer. Always in contact with me on my needs and having things taken care of to continue the purchasing process. I have and will continue to recommend Clayton Homes of Lafayette to anyone looking to purchase a home!!!!!
