Schmitz built our house in 2008. He owned the lot we wanted, and against some advice from people who had dealt with him, we went ahead with our plan for him to build the house. We were told to watch him close, but he told us to stay away, because it was a construction site, and unsafe. Within 3 years, the concrete started sinking, heaving, and cracking. The whole experience was excruciating. He over priced everything he did, and bought as cheap as he could. I haven't found a client of his in this neighborhood, that show any appreciation for him. Our kitchen counter tops were replaced, but we still have a 1/32" seam, and the laminate is lifting. We've put $2500 in to making our second story deck feel half way safe, but are looking to have it replaced. Our front porch started sinking within the first year, so he had no choice, but to replace it. It is cracking and slowly sinking again. There are more issues, but I don't have time to share those right now. All of our concerns are legitimate, but we are having to live with them, until we can afford to get it all fixed.No thanks to Cliff Schmitz! I only gave him one star, because zero wasn't available.
