Johnny Paauwe has worked on our home in Del Mar multiple times over the last 10 years, doing jobs both large and small. Over one 6 month period he painstakingly remodeled most of our house room by room. We have been delighted by all his work.
Johnny is a master craftsmen. He has designed and made built-ins, crown moldings, and individual pieces of furniture. At the same time he can remodel and reshape home interiors, as well as designing and building yard fencing and furniture.
We thoroughly recommend Johnny for any work in your home or yard.

I’ll try to keep this short. Our kitchen cabinets and the location of our major appliances were in the optimal position. We wanted to get rid of the 1970’s formica look and bring new life into it. We priced a full re-facing. It was cost prohibitive. Further, our cabinet boxes were made of real wood and already had pull out shelves. It didn’t seem to be wise to replace the cabinets with modern MDF boxes in duplicate shapes of the existing. After careful shopping, we decided that we needed the expertise of Coastal Carpentry. Johnny replaced all the doors on our kitchen cabinets. He utilized three different styles of self closing hinges to accommodate the pull out shelves which work perfectly. He replaced all of our drawer fronts. In addition to the cabinets, He replaced our sliding glass doors with new french doors and our back door with a door within a door. We are very pleased with the job done by Coastal Carpentry, and would recommend him to everyone. His work is consistent and always superior. Mike & Carolyn
