This was no small feat, as we tackled a comprehensive renovation that included new flooring, intricate tile work, a stylish backsplash, updated walls, modern sinks, top-of-the-line appliances, and a luxurious shower. We bought a house from G2BH, LLC (d/b/a Great to Be Home) and Comfort Home Remodeling Corp (the “Company,” or “Comfort Home”) was the contractor that built the house. We had a punch list of items that needed to be done including fixing hardwood floors in the master bedroom. The floors were supposed to be completed by 12/31/2017 and they still are not completed. The issues included buckled wood floors, mismatching stain and unfinished sanded floors. The company said they would finish the floors but after multiple attempts to contact the company (with no response from them) we decided to contact the BBB for assistance. On February 8, 2018 we submitted a complaint to the BBB citing our dissatisfaction with Comfort Home. Florin from Comfort Home contacted us shortly thereafter, discussed our issues in person, and asked us to remove the BBB complaint under the guarantee that if we did so he would resolve the issues with our floors. One month later, one of his employees came by to fix the floors but actually made it worse by over-sanding and now we have cracks. We relayed this issue (again) to Florin and after multiple attempts to line up a visit by Comfort Home to fix the floors, Florin and his team are still a no-show (this is as of May 26, 2018). Multiple text messages (which we have documented) and phone calls with Florin resulted in “I’m waiting to hear back from so-and-so” and “I’ll be there” only to have cancellation after cancellation. Keep in mind, they are doing a project on the next block. On top of that issue, we discovered several more instances of poor quality of work in a home that we purchased a mere six months ago brand new. Such issues included sewer gas cap that wasn’t properly sealed (and so our basement smelled), leaking faucet pipes and uncapped toilet water pipe lines in the bathroom. Overall, we are writing this complaint to express our dissatisfaction with and lack of effort on behalf of Comfort Home.
