Compass Management has passed its 20th year in business! in 2001 Compass was formed from a need for high performance and seamless communication when operating real estate. What Compass does best is care, plan, and communicate.
The management of property is all too often accepted as a reactive service and doesn’t need to be that way. From your first meeting with us, you will have the attention and organization we provide to every client. The planning and proactive techniques we use will show their benefits immediately. By developing management programs that are well thought out and set the clients objectives as the goal, we achieve a harmonious balance between sustainability and economy.
Compass has earned its place in the industry as a “hands on” property services firm that also oversees real estate trusts, capital planning, and sustainable operation of your family or business owned properties at the executive level.
Compass evolved into an option for property owners that want a high level of attention, quick response, and flexibility. Compass brings experience from a fortune 500 construction management firm and an ENR 200 engineering firm.
We only manage properties with an annual commitment to a plan that we develop together. This allows us to truly be on call for only our clients, and become intimate with their property’s operation. Our mechanics and trades people are also setup on the same commitment to us, forming an all-inclusive property management service.
We maintain a modest size by hand selecting clients and service providers that expect excellence and comprehension at every level.
We work on referrals only, making performance our only marketing tool.

I've worked with Rob for 3 years as my manager for a duplex I own near downtown Newport. We actually started working together at the tail end of a 3-year renovation project: he seemlessly acting in the role as our general contractor and allowing us to be ready for tenants on time. As a owner of a 100+ year-old house, his expertise was essential to maintaining a livable space for our tenants. Nothing in our house is simple, no wall straight nor floor level, so someone like Rob is essential for keeping everything running smoothly. He runs an efficient and high-tech team and is incredibly responsive to any sort of situation or curveball thrown his way. As our property manager the service Compass provides is second-to-none. Everyone there is super responsive and we've heard nothing but praise from our tenants. He provides seamless service for routine repairs and overseas any major work or appliance installation, allowing me to happily maintain my absentee landlord status. He and his team is worth every penny!
