I used this company to do a top finish on a new concrete slab of about 700 SF.
We told them what color we wanted and we wanted someting durable. They are professional so we told them we were thinking about using epoxy but they said they have a stain that would me better to use outside resisting UVs and rain. We agreed on a price of $5500.00.
The workers came on Tuesday and didn't clean the floor or etched it or use a bonding product (the slab was pretty slick) and they started applying a 1st coat of BERH CONCRETE STAIN directly without using the Berh bonding Product first. Les left for the day,
They came back a 7am in the morning and applied a second coat of the Berh concrete stain.
Let it dry shortly and started to pray the chocolate accent color to make the design, and shortly after a lighter accent color. They were done around 11:30 am.
I asked them if there is a top coat going on it, and they told me it was done.
Considering the products were around $200, and that coating would last not more than 5 years, and no primer coating I called the boss and told him I do not agree to pay 5.5 k for that job that do not look great and they left with a check of 3k.
Not even a week after they did the job the finish started peeling everywhere.
I called Behr paint company and told them what happened , they said if the concrete doesn't feel to the touch like a 120 sand paper you need to etch it or use the bonding primer first.
The owner of the company doesn't care about it and will not do anything about it.
So be carrefull those people are over pricing you for products that you can buy yourself at Home Depot for cheap and the job was more than poorly done, doesn't worth the money, Also i never had a written official estimate with the kind of products they will be using, and I never signed any contract and never received any invoice from them.
