    Poured wall foundation
    $60,000

What a circus! I hired someone to do the foundation for an addition, and he hired this circus. If I had hired them, I would’ve fired them by 10AM day 1. This company is all about what is fastest and easiest for them, they do not consider you, your property, or even doing actual good work.
Friday started in a rush because they wanted to form & pour that day. So they started off fighting amongst themselves, they had so many people trying to go in so many directions that they were literally walking into each other. Even though it was closer to work from the street, they wanted to bring the truck with the forms on behind my house, right up against a brand new in ground pool that the pool company hasn’t even finished yet. The excuse was due to electric lines, but that made no sense, the bigger concrete pump truck worked from the street later on. They had someone take a board and hold the power lines up for the taller pump truck. So anyway, we told them that the pool deck is BRAND NEW and NOT to walk on it. It would get stained with mud from the foundation area. Their head guy said ok, but asked I clear us a path next to the pool deck, so I did. He even made me sit our picnic table on the pool deck. I didn’t want to sit anything on the new concrete, but he said if I sit it there his guys won’t able to walk on the pool deck, so I complied with his wish.
They then proceeded to unload every single thing off the form truck and chaotically scatter it! Their guys were still walking into each other. (they didn’t need everything off the truck, they only used 4ish cages) In doing this they sat cages in the path I cleared for them now causing them to either walk around cages or walk on the pool deck. I was working on building a retaining wall, I kept nicely reminding them, but they would either ignore me, or not walk on it for a bit, but then go back to walking on it. Later on Friday I asked if they would be moving their things out of my way, and the boss got snippy, he refused to understand why I would want to work in my yard over the weekend, or why I wanted to use my driveway for the weekend. The entire time they were forming and pouring it was all about what they needed, and total disregard for me, my family, my property, my neighbors, and my neighbor’s property. When they left, their stuff was still scattered, I had to move it to work and to use my driveway. We spent hours picking up trash and cigarette butts, they pumped piles of concrete, in my way, in my yard, and on top of my pile of top soil that I need to finish the yard back off.
Monday came, it had rained all night Sunday night so everything was very muddy. We were all at work, but our security camera looks at the pool so we have HOURS of video and audio as the circus continued! With the mud they stained our concrete, they did the same on the landscaping, they took down construction fence just to cut farther across the pool deck. They left cigarette butts and trash everywhere. In one video they commented on how nice the flatwork was around the pool as they were walking on it with muddy boots ruining it. They also discussed how much they smoke. They argued with each other again, they took time to snapchat someone named Lowell. Then they swung a basket into my NEW unfinished landscape wall breaking and damaging stones, they knocked over a full baskets of forms into the walls they just poured! And perhaps the most astonishing part of all, the tops of their poured walls aren’t even flat! That’s right! I guess they hate the framing guy too!
My wife came home, and yelled at them about the pool deck, so one guy spent 45 minutes scrubbing it with a very hard brush and maybe some chemicals we couldn’t tell, unfortunately he doesn’t know much about new concrete, all his scrubbing did was etch and ruin it. I now have 640 sq/ft of mismatched ruined concrete around a brand new pool. THOUSANDS of dollars in flatwork ruined because the poured walls people were too lazy to walk a few extra feet. I have hours upon hours of video and pictures. They care NOTHING about you!
Then after my contractor tried to take up the poor workmanship and damage with the owner, the owner said he was now applying a $2500 additional charge for "his guys carrying forms" REALLY???? Carrying forms isn't part of this job? They sat some cages inside the foundation so they couldn't get any closer than that, and the others were about 4 foot outside the foundation. Any carrying was a discission made by his guys not me. Such poor business to charge someone extra because your employees are dumb and elected to work harder not smarter!
