Paid him up front for material. Showed up for three days. Has lied about purchasing materials when no supplier has any orders. Will not return phone calls. Shameful. Lies.

Did a 20k deck that has major structural issues and he will not return any calls or respond to the PA District Attorney's office complaint we filed. Buyer Beware!
Update! He contacted us and agreed to pay for the repairs we had to have made to make the sagging deck he built safe and now he went MIA again.Response from Construction April 13, 2018No major issues, permits were pulled and passed every inspection by the township. The cause of the alleged was due to not wanting a concrete pad at the bottom of a set of stairs. If I did cause major issues to there deck, the township would not of approve the final inspection (which the home owner have in there possession) and the Attonery General would of revoked my license. I'm fully insured and fully licensed. Offer to come by with the township inspector and go over the damages, but the HO denied the offer and told me they had it fixed. And demanded me to pay. -

My experience with Spencer started out great. Then as the project evolved the completion took longer and longer. In fact we still don't have a cap on the end of our deck, , the rails began to sag which made them too short no longer stay vertical and now our deck is pulling away from itself and we have a soft spot. It could very well be structural. I've been trying to reach Spencer to make it right but I have not heard from him. My contact information has remained the same. I just want my deck finished and safe.

Spencer Scowden took a deposit in March 2020 for an HVAC system and disappeared. I had to track him down at his house at night to get answers Nearly a year later and I have not seen a dime of the deposit. I had to hire another electrician to come finish the botched job of the little bit of work he performed on the first contract. Spencer has done nothing but lie. I wouldn't trust him to change a lightbulb.
