Chris was unresponsive to text, email, and phone messages. Once he got down to our final punch-list of jobs to complete, he lost interest. More than 15 messages went unanswered, more than 8 dates to finish the work went with no appearance and no message by Chris. After 10 months begging him to come and finish, we finally hired a handy-man to complete Chris’s job for which he was paid. We had to file a small claims case to get that bill covered after asking for 4 months. He paid, but with a silly sentence like “Well that part of the job I did as a favor, so I don’t have to finish my work.” 1) I can show you the line on your bill showing that you were paid for it and when. 2) If that was your position, why did you make so many dates to come to my home and complete the work? 3) Even if it was a gratis item as part of a $50,000 job (which it wasn’t), you can’t slop up my home and leave your work incomplete.
Hire Chris with care; he will move on when the $$ is better somewhere else.
