Two days ago we had a worst nightmare that can happen to anyone in florida during summer heat, our AC quit working. We tried to call a few companies and while I was looking for a quality, my husband was looking for a quick fix. It was time to change our 16 years old Trane AC and after I completed my research I want to upgrade to a Carrier AC. When we got recommended a Cool Air Solution and they come along I ask if they have a Carrier AC because that was the only one I was interested in. Then I make a mistake to trust them when they sad that it would not sad Carrier but it done by Carrier. What ever it supposed to mean! English is my second language and I did not understand this part. Next day I had to leave for work and my husband was the one who was home for installation. He was very happy get his AC back it was all he care, while I try to justify a charge of 6.800$ that I agree to pay for the Carrier AC, but when I came home I thind out that disinformation take place and they actually installed a ICP International Comfort Product a low line of the product owned by Carrier. Also while I inspect machine I noticed that they did not install the fillter!!! When I call to the company and ask about filters first they insist that they installed it, then they sad I should have had my own, regardless the fact that I unfortunatly change the brand of the AC and my old one may not work even if I would have them! Then women on the phone sad that a person named Jeff would call me back at this point I already told them that they disinform me and it is fraud, because I agree on the price based on the fact that I want a hier quality product. My research showed that ICP AC cost about 3.500. Then, I got a call from rude person named Jeff... first he ask if machine is working and what else I would possibly want! After I expressed a simple desire to have a quality air at my house for my child, he sad "Sorry your husband could not get you what you want!" My husband don't know how to start a dishwasher! He is sweet naive person that people like Jeff take advantage off!!! Then he became even more rude and descremenative!!!! He ask who am I and who is the owner of the house, when I sad that both me and my husband owned the house he still insisted that he would talk to the MEN of the house!!! He was scaring me saying that he would take back the machine and we still would need to pay because his team did a great job on his opinion.
Next, my husband call back and sad that we need to keep the machine simply because he can't stay without AC while we wait for a better quality one. He sad, that Cool Air Solution explain to him that other AC would not feed in. May be AC they have would not, but Trane with all the extras, like an UV light did feed in perfectly before they come!!!
Then, situation got even more ridiculous, they call and sad that they just remembered( a whole day later!) That they DID forgot to put a filter on!!! They came with the bunch, changed the filter, left and AC quit working 30 min. later!!!! All, this time I waited and breathing all the dust in the air, my nose got so dry, but I had to wait for another hour!!! Then technician named Joe come, he actually very nice person, he sad that one of the tube was not leveled and he would change it. While my husband saying it is nice, that they come and fix it, I'm saying they should work better to begin with!!!
Last but not least I end up with the agliest old thermostat on my wall!(((
Please, do your self a favor and don't settle for a poor quality staff, just because there are unprofessional people who don't want to educate you and explain all the wonderful option AC have this days, like different speed, energy saving benefits ect.
Main time I'm married for a 11 years and it is to late to divorce my husband over the AC disagreement) so that "simple/basic/old fashioned" machine stay in my house and on their soul!!!
